Rudolf & Mirjam are lovely hosts and staying at their “secret” place in the middle of the raw forest combined with their hosting qualities is an unforgettable experience. We had a wonderful time getting to know each other over delicious self-made breakfasts with fruits straight from their garden and only a 15 drive from beaches and sightseeing places. Both Rudolf & Mirjam are interesting and interested people, completely uncomplicated and open-minded, I’m convinced they make everyone feel welcome.
Mirjam and Rudolf are exceptional hosts, and are genuinely lovely people. By the end of our 3 day stay we felt we had relaxed, rejuvenated and make new friends. It was indeed hard to leave this little slice of paradise. This warm and gracious couple have created a magical and exquisitely beautiful retreat. Each inch has been crafted and cultivated with love, hard work and attention to detail, and their efforts to preserve the native surrounding bush is very admirable and appreciated. Mirjam’s cooking is to die for, cooked with fresh and tasty produce from their raised vegetable garden and orchards. They were also extremely generous with information on how to build a eco-homes, irrigation and with much needed gardening tips! Thank you both so very much! x We forward to seeing you the next time.
Wonderful house in a perfect location! We had an great experience in Rudolf & Mirjam place. The studio is very well insulated and with big windows to enjoy the view. It’s perfectly located close to every interesting places in the Coromandel.

Rudolf’s and Mirjam’s place is paradise. If you are looking for a relaxed and quiet place to enjoy and relax, this is it. Their home is located far off everyday noises and stress (and yet close enough to towns and beaches) and built with so much love and detail. Rudolf and Mirjam were excellent hosts and I can only recommend Mirjam’s cooking. 🙂
I totally enjoyed my stay with them and will absolutely visit them again to share more stories and experiences. Thank you both for three wonderful days in your beautiful home.
