Our Name

Waiora is a Maori term and signifies “health, soundness”.

We understand health as the balance of physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being.

Wai means “water, creek, river” and refers to our beautiful stream with its life-giving properties, soothing sound, cleansing and purifying power.

Ora means “life, health, vitality” and signifies being alive, well, safe, recovered, and  healed.

Healing Relationships is the overall purpose of “Waiora Healing Waters”.
